My name is John Hoyes. I am a 19 year old student from Brisbane however will have turned 20 by the time of the run. I currently study design with majors in industrial design and architecture at Queensland University of Technology which I balance with working as an Orderly in a Brisbane hospital. I first began running in year 8 and became heavily involved in both cross country and track and field throughout my schooling career. I have since seized competitive running due to other commitments, however still enjoy taking part in fun runs and triathlons when I get the chance. I look forward to the opportunity to take part in the Long Run and believe passionately in what it is trying to achieve.
