When a patient is diagnosed with a form of any disease, it isn’t just the patient who suffers it’s the whole family. When I was diagnosed the news almost hit my family harder then it did me. Going from running every morning and after with my brother to leaving him by himself was a major blow. But it was Fraser there with his antics and confidence who kept him focused on the present, giving him a chance to smile again. Fraser Coss at only 19 is one of the best upcoming middle distance athletes Australia has seen and although with the confidence of an elite athlete his conscience remains in the right place. Rarely seeing him run of 1 kilometer, when asked to run to the middle of Queensland for charity and for me there was no hesitation. A good hearted person and a true mate, this run is now better for having him with us.
