Running for a Brighter Future.

Posted: 10th July 2009

With the organizational section of the run nearly at a closure, each of us runners are now faced with the big obstacle of the long road that leads to Longreach. We have all been training, whether it be weekly routines or the occasional jog, each has put in their part to ensure that the run is successful. With two corporate training sessions run to incorporate sponsors into the commencement of the run, the overall attitude and enjoyment at 6am was all positive.

For myself, I see the next few weeks ahead of me not as a physical challenge, but rather an opportunity to spread the word of generosity across the Queensland Outback. With already numerous donations coming from all over Queensland and even one from USA, the Australian trait of helping each other continues to be reinforced.

With only 4 days before we start, remember to keep checking back to the website as we will be uploading photos daily, writing blogs and tweeting on our twitter account.

"Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure."

All the best,
johnsee.
