Day 7

Today we left Roma and hit the road ready for Mitchell. Half of the team visited two local schools where they discussed about our trip. A contest between Tighe and Mark (each speaking at different schools) to see who could get more laughs from a joke. What do you call a man running behind a car? Exhausted. The joke failed to get a laugh from both schools and just left students dazed and confused.

Along the road we continued doing what we do best, running along the road to get to our final destination. Once again we had an amazing lunch of breadrolls with chicken, ham, stuffing, a wide arrange of salad and juice. Day after day these yummy lunches keep us trucking on. During lunch we also met a caretaker of a pub who seemed to be interested in what we were doing as he said the pub didnt really receive many people apart from about 5 locals.

We arrived in Mitchell in great time and ran straight up to the local hot springs. Here everyone (well most people) jumped in the freezing cold pool which was 18 degrees and then shortly after went into the hot spring which was around 34 degrees. Everyone continued this to relax their muscles however a select few opted to just stay in the hot springs. This was really relaxing and a very enjoyable moment in our trip. We then made our way to our accomodation which was the local RSL sporting hall. Once our beds were set up, some local kids rocked up for their weekly touch game and so we joined them and showed them a thing or two.

After that we went have dinner at a local pub with the Rotary Club. Here we mingled as much as we could with these people however everyone was super drained of energy and I don't think the hot springs helped being energetic, plus the touch too! We then had dinner, heard a little bit about what goes on and then we told them a few of our great stories. Shortly after we played two up where johnsee won and received a bottle of red and Charlie came 2nd who got a bottle of white, however decided to give it to johnsee cause he doesnt drink white.

Shortly after we went home and all went straight to bed after a big day. Many good times had and many good times to come.
